Declaration on the obligation to inform (Privacy Policy)
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively based on the legal provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.
1. Contact with us
If you contact us using the form on the website or by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months for processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Persistent cookies: Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period of time, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

3. Web analysis by e-Tracker
Our website uses functions of the web analysis service e-Tracker of the company e-Tracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg. E-Tracker GmbH processes and stores the data in Germany. Cookies are used for this purpose, which enable an analysis of the use of the website by the users. The information thus generated is transferred to the provider's server and stored there. We have concluded a corresponding contract for commissioned data processing with the provider.
Your privacy is important to us. Your IP address is recorded, but immediately pseudonymised by shortening or encrypting the IP address. This means that only a rough localisation is possible.
The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG as well as Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO. Our concern in terms of the DSGVO (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our website.
4. Registration for events
You can register on our website for events organised by the Theresan Military Academy or the Federal Ministry of Defence. To do so, we require certain personal data from you.
4.1 Purpose of data processing: Your data is required by our staff for the administration of the event.
4.2 Transfer of your data to third parties: Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those mentioned in point 4.1.
Your data will only be transferred to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by court decision, or if this is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on our internet infrastructure.
Your data will not be passed on to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes without your express consent.
4.3 Duration of storage: Data that we process on the basis of your consent for the purpose of administering the event will be stored for a maximum of 12 months and then deleted.
5. Subscription to e-mail newsletter(s)
You can subscribe to several e-mail newsletters on our website. The subscription is done by a double opt-in procedure (filling in the online form and clicking on the confirmation link). By subscribing, you consent to the processing of your data for the intended purpose.
5.1 Purpose of data processing: We use your data to inform you about news from the Theresian Military Academy and/or events at the Theresian Military Academy by means of an e-mail newsletter.
5.2 Transfer of your data to third parties: Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those stated in point 5.1.
Your data will only be transferred to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by court decision or if this is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on our internet infrastructure.

5.3 Duration of storage: You have the right to revoke your consent at any time by notifying us in writing or by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the e-mail newsletter.

With regard to your data stored by us, you are generally entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can complain to us or to the data protection authority.
