The University of Applied Sciences Bachelor's programme in Military Leadership
This six-semester bachelor's degree programme in Military Leadership is the academic part of the officer training. From a broad spectrum of social sciences and humanities, the officer cadets learn what they need to improve their military leadership skills. For example, education and psychology to internalise the human side of leadership; law and economics; languages - especially English and French - to be fit for international missions. The emphasis is on tactical training at battalion and company level.
The training to become a state-certified instructor for general physical training is also part of the course.
Parachute training is also part of this training section. This not only teaches the technique of skydiving, but is also a test of courage and is intended to prepare students for dealing with stressful situations.
One semester must be spent at one of the partner institutions abroad. In addition, a six-week professional internship at a partner institution abroad is planned.
During the course of studies, a scientific paper is to be written.
The programme concludes with the award of the academic degree "Bachelor of Arts in Military Leadership".
